Bri has been doing hair since 2007. She opened The Colour Lounge in 2013 at 24 years old with intentions to create the salon environment she felt was missing in Duluth. She has spent the last decade and then some growing with the ever changing industry. Advanced Education is a main focus for Bri and her team. She has spent years attending many of the industry's best events and becoming certified in Brazilian Blowouts, 14 extension methods, Advanced Balayage Techniques and much more. She has been doing extensions for 16+ years, and has a large clientele with different installation techniques. That experience also led Bri to create her own tension free extension method and her own line of high quality hair to ensure the quality and price point is the best for our Colour Lounge guests.

Thorough consultations are a priority to her, to ensure you are getting the the best possible results out of your service. The connection with guests in her chair and the confidence boost they have when leaving is her favorite part of the job.

Ultimately, the last decade has allowed Bri the experience and knowledge to create a positive culture for her team and guests to enjoy. This became a priority for everyone on our team with the guidance of our in depth Assistant Program, our Colour Lounge Academy video training course, and providing systems, support, core values, and tools for our stylists to be successful. Watching them grow and overcome all of the hurdles in this industry is the most rewarding to Bri.

When she is not beautifying the northland she enjoys traveling and experiencing new adventures and cultures with her husband and friends. She also loves spending quality time with family, friends, and pups Maverick and Macy.

Sara is a 20 year veteran of the industry. In 2000, at the age of 18, she started her career at the Aveda Institute of Minneapolis. After being in Minneapolis for a year and graduating from Aveda, life brought Sara back to the area, still with big dreams in mind. Over the years, she worked at Language of Hair and Elysium, among other places, until deciding she liked doing things her own way.

Education is a side passion of hers. Sara took her first continuing education class with David Adams of Aveda and she was addicted; she needed to know more. Sara took classes with Kim Vo, Lupe Voss, Ronnie Stam, Michael Angelo, and the late great Oribe. Throughout her training, she worked at developing her personal style. Growing up in the 80’s-90’s supermodel era, long layers with volume holds dear to her heart, but she never shys away from a pixie.

Sara opened her own salon in 2008 in downtown Duluth and operated it for 7 years before selling and moving back to Minneapolis. A few years later, she decided Duluth was home and she moved back.

Being from the area, Sara likes to be outside and enjoys mountain biking, hiking and downhill and cross country skiing. You can also find her at a brewery with a hazy in hand.

Eric Santiago

A native of Minnesota, Eric has quite the portfolio. Starting at the age of 13, he would spend his summers in his aunt’s salon helping sweep hair, book appointments, and greeting guests. You can say he fell into the world of hair naturally. So in 2002 he enrolled in Cosmetology school, graduating a year later. By the end of 2004, having been in the business less than 2 years, he started working as a Master Educator for one of the leading hair care companies, Loreal Matrix. His training with them brought him to multiple states, and even internationally for workshops. He even had the opportunity to work hair shows both on and off stage.

Through the years, he has worn many hats: educator, owner, manager and, most importantly, friend to many wonderful clients. With a passion for the business, Eric is a master at his craft and truly cares for his guests. You will be happy to sit in his chair! One of his favorite mottos is: "Without a great consultation you are dead in the water." It truly does set the foundation for a great service. His range of services from color, to cutting, to extensions, texture services and love of product knowledge makes him well rounded for every guest.

When not at work he enjoys spending a lot of time with his family and friends, and taking care of his many animals. Eric enjoys life and everyone around him. A softy at heart, he is always ready to give a smile and a welcoming hug!

McKenzie has been doing hair since August 2006 and has been working independently behind the chair since May 2015. She specializes in blondes and lived in colors, but her favorite thing about being a stylist is the relationships she builds with her clients.

Katie is from Duluth and has been doing hair since 2011.

Doing hair truly is her passion. She specializes in cuts and all types of colors!  Whether it’s a bright blonde, a rich brunette, a lived-in balayage or any vivid color, there is no color service that doesn’t excite her. She believes that behind every successful hair appointment is a thorough consultation. Her favorite things about being a stylist is having the ability to make her clients feel more confident after each appointment, and the relationships she is able to build with them. You will love spending time in her relaxing suite!

When she isn’t at the salon, Katie enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys going to concerts and she loves summertime in Duluth, but her favorite time of the year is football season when she can cheer on her favorite team, the Packers!

Savanna, or Sav as her friends often call her, is the owner of Rosy Cheeks Waxing located in our upstairs suites at The Colour Lounge. Originally from Grand Rapids, Sav always hoped she'd someday move to Duluth. In 2017, she made that dream a reality! Then she needed something new to aspire to and her new dream became waxing. Prior to moving here, she was doing hair at a salon in Grand Rapids but found she didn't love it like she thought she would. When she left the iron range, she had no intention of staying in the beauty industry - yet once she discovered waxing she instantly fell in love with it. For the past 6 years, she has been specializing in full body/facial waxing as well as lash/brow tinting. Nothing brings her more joy than making her clients feel happy, confident and smooth! Creating the most welcoming and comfortable waxing experience is something Sav is incredibly passionate about and she is ready to prove that waxing is nothing to be afraid of. Outside of the salon, no matter the time of year, you'll likley find her near Lake Superior (or, more likley, inside it!) She also loves to travel and spend time with her family, friends and 3 fur babies. A few of her favorite things include musicals, animals, brunch and all things Disney! You can always count on her for a warm welcome, an engaging conversation, professionalism and immense kindness.
